School Canteen Employment Opportunities
CANTEEN MANAGER Require an efficient, enthusiastic canteen manager to oversee the start up and operation of a Healthy Kids School Canteen. Ordering will be by an online menu and will include breakfast and lunch. Over the counter service will also be available.
Salary is in accordance with the Retail Shop Employees (State) Award. To be considered you must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated cooking skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and lead
- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to control day-to-day operations of a school canteen
- Demonstrated computer literacy using Office applications and internet
- Experience with volunteers and P&C groups
- Knowledge of basic financial management systems
- Knowledge of the Fresh Tastes @ School Healthy School Canteen Strategy
- Experience and or qualifications in food preparation, food safety and handling
- Understanding of OH&S principles
- Interest in nutrition and children
Qualifications in canteen operations, food safety and food preparation will be highly regarded.
